Have you loved Matthew Goode ever since his turn in Chasing Liberty (if you don’t know what I am talking about, I am not sure we can be friends)? Or are you a Downton Abbey bandwagon fan? Either way folks, he is taking us for a grittier turn in Dept. Q and I am here for it. In Dept. Q, he plays a disillusioned police officer who is, to be honest, a bit of a dick. But let’s be real, who doesn’t love that in their fictional men? I mean, red flags? Sign me up. Oh wait, is that just me? Well anyway, here we are. I’m not going to get into an actual summary of the show; you can look it up on IMDB if you want that. Instead, I am going to say that it was entertaining and engaging. My sister and I began our Friday night couch rot with some Chipotle at like 7 pm and knocked out the whole season in a single sitting. What can I say, we know how to commit. 9+ hours of television later, did we have bed sores on our asses? Maybe…but, had we enjoyed the process of getting them? Definitely. If you are looking for something engaging to binge-watch, this fits the bill. If you need something to keep you entertained on a long-haul flight, put this on your iPad immediately.
